Credit card reader

The GLEIKE MINI can interface with a credit card reader
to become a full electronic payment terminal. (POS)
The basic configuration includes a swipe card reader
and a wireless modem to request and receive the bank authorization. In the full configuration, the GLEIKE MINI interfaces a Pin Pad terminal that implements a dual swipe/chip card reader.
Two versions are available


 
1 -  Pin Pad Terminal
 
Moreover the capability to swipe the credit card, the Pin Pad Terminal implements a chip card reader that enables the driver to accept the majority of credit cards using this technology. The screen and the keyboard enable the customer to input the credit card pin code and the terminal to display fare, extra and tips. According to the international standards as EMV level 1 and 2 and ANSI standards, the terminal connects the meter through a secured link.

The PIN PAd can be used also for reading specific cards as driver ID, private card, and electronic purse.

We have designed the case to help the driver to handle the terminal, but it can be easily fixed on a vertical supporting plate. Built for an intense use, the keyboard is able to endure many finger pressures and is highly resistant to aggressive dirt and liquids.

The screen includes 4 lines of 16 characters each and is easily readable by daylight and at night.

Connected to the taximeter by a secured link, it automatically displays the trip fare (with extras or tips, if desired) and reads the credit card either by means of the chip or by the magnetic track. The customer enters his personal identity number (PIN) onto the keyboard. In compliance with the international standards available, the reader is compatible with the most of the credit cards used in the world.
 
2 - The manual swipe magnetic card reader

Designed to comply with the international standards (ISO/IEC 7810 and 7811), this reader can read the majority of the credit cards used in the world.
